How do Dermal Fillers work?
A filler is a gel that is injected in to the line or wrinkle, cheeks or lips and immediately plumps up the area treated. We offer an anaesthetic cream or injecting to make the treatment comfortable for the patient. There are various fillers that we offer at Skin Health Spa, all natural products that do not require a skin test and is suitable for most patients.
How many Dermal Filler treatments will I need?
Normally only one treatment is necessary to get the results you want. The amount of filler we inject depends on the patient and your expectations will be discussed at your consultation.
Will the Dermal Filler treatment hurt?
Before we start the treatment we offer an anaesthetic cream or injection to numb the area to be treated. This makes the injections more comfortable for the patient. Some redness and swelling can be expected after the treatment but most patients can return to work directly after the treatment.
How long will the Dermal Filler effect last for?
The effects of a filler can last between 6 months and 2 years depending on the type of product we use. We offer fillers that last from 6 to 12 months and some that are longer lasting.
